Kantha is a type of embroidery craft from the eastern regions of India specifically West Bengal , Orissa, Tripura along with Bangladesh. Kantha was originally used to make simple quilts, using old saris and cloth which were then layered with kantha stitching to make a light blanket, throw, or bedspread, specially for children. The visual memory of this ingenious use was the take off for us to use the simple running stitch kantha for our line.

Simple lined/ checkered kantha on handloom cotton is used to form our home linen.
